blogger and mother of two

Tiffany is a blogger and mother of two who focuses on looking at the small things in order to budget and save. Her love for cooking is her main focus, and this is evident on her blog, through the recipes she tests and through the smiles on her family's faces

Shortly before Tiffany's first child was born, she decided to leave her full-time corporate job to stay home and raise her baby, but this also meant her family's income would be cut by 50%.  In order to pay their bills and keep creditors from knocking at our doors every month, Tiffany and her husband had to figure out a way to reduce their spending by 50% too.

They scrutinized every expense from every angle they could think of.  From the big bills like mortgage and credit cards, to the little bills like trash collection service and cell phones – every single bill was reduced to as low as they could possibly get it.

In those two years they realized that even the small things in life – the crumbs – is how they got out of debt in the first place, and it’s still how they keep themselves out of debt to this day.

Crumbs originally began a place to share ways to reduce your electricity bill, how to create a grocery budget or how to bring in extra cash to cover Christmas gifts.  However, Tiffany's love for food crept in more and more often and she soon found herself sharing how she meal planned to keep her grocery budget under control and the latest research about weird ingredients in my coffee creamer.

Readers encouraged Tiffany in her own journey to eat real food on a budget, and she wanted to help them start one of their own.

Busy parents around the world can now rejoice.

Weelicious (www.weelicious.com), the brainchild of actress, model, and mom Catherine McCord, provides a solution to parents’ hectic lives by showing them how to cook recipes that are kid-friendly, quick, and nutritious. Since Weelicious launched in October 2007, Catherine has been offering innovative ideas and instruction for delicious meals that are “easy, fresh, and fun.” Bolstered by a culinary background and a passion for food, Catherine makes cooking accessible using few, but fresh ingredients. Recipes appeal to a range of ages – from infants starting on solid foods to school-age kids and adults. “As a parent, you don’t have to be a short-order cook preparing four different meals for four different family members,” she says.
